Preparing your items to sell…

Clothing

The better they look — the better they sell!

• Clean, iron, and make sure all clothing is stain-free and in excellent condition.
• Hang clothes with the hanger hook facing left (forming a question mark ?).
• Use plastic or wire-coated hangers. Make sure the hanger size is appropriate for the item.
• Spring/Summer clothing is only accepted for the Spring/Summer sale.
• Fall/Winter clothing is only accepted for the Fall/Winter sale.
• Safety pin pants, skirts, shorts, and capris to the top of the hanger.
• Do not fold them over the hanger.
• Group clothing sets and accessories together with rubber bands or zip ties.
• Sort all clothing by gender and size before drop-off.
• All clothing must be current/up-to-date in style and season.

Shoes

• Shoes must be in excellent condition.
• Pair shoes together securely (zip ties work great!).
• Attach the price tag to each pair using a zip tie or safety pin.

Bedding & Blankets

• Bedding should be packaged in large plastic bags, tied with ribbon, or hung over a hanger.
• Blankets should be hung over a hanger and pinned securely.
• Small receiving blankets can be grouped together in one bag.

Loose Items

Bottles, bibs, rattles, socks, booties, bows, and similar small items should be grouped by type and placed in Ziploc bags. Seal the bags with clear packing tape.

Toys & Baby Equipment

Check https://www.cpsc.gov/ for any recalled items. Switch-A-Roos is not responsible for any recalled items that are sold or bought during the sale.

• All items must be very clean and in good working order. Include manufacturer instructions if available.
• Install fresh working batteries.
• Place small parts in a Ziploc bag and securely tape or zip-tie it to the main item.
• Tape game boxes closed and ensure all pieces are included.
• Wrap puzzles tightly in Saran Wrap or a large Ziploc bag to keep pieces together.
• Securely attach the barcoded tag to each item with tape or a zip tie.
• Only cribs that meet current U.S. government safety standards will be accepted.
• Only like-new, current, and popular stuffed animals will be accepted.
• All unsold stuffed animals will be donated*.

*Note on Stuffed Animals: Stuffed animals will not be sorted during the sale. However, you may come during pickup time to collect any unsold ones. Please check in with our event coordinator when you arrive.

Home Furnishings

• Make sure all items are clean and include every piece.
• All furniture must be fully assembled/set up at the sale. Please bring your own tools for assembly.
• All electronics must be in working condition.
